Have You Considered Eternity?

No Really, Have You Considered Where Your Soul Will End Up?

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. " -1 John 5:13(KJV)

Today we live in such a fast-paced society, our lives filled with getting this or that, going here or there or seeing this or that. We seem to be in constant motion and never stop and smell the roses, as the saying goes. Our work inundates our days and our families seem to quite frequently siphon any remaining time each day away from us. Not that this is a bad thing but it is nevertheless a reality. We eat, we sleep, we go day after day. Planning for things seems to be a last minute thought; whether trips, vacations or whatever preparing for them kinda ends up on the back burner.

VACATION OR TRIP PLANNING?

Let me as you a question. When you take a vacation or are prepare to go to a specific destination, do you take the time and plan the trip or perhaps you just hop in the car, train, bus or plane and just head out? Most likely not. Maybe you spend tons of time over where you are going and how you will get there; putting things to paper, in files, folders, on the computer and tweaking them ever so carefully. Maybe you converse with a travel agent and get all the specifics of your trip, maybe you research the location and surrounding area, demographics, etc using the Internet. At any rate, you most likely exhaust all efforts to know about where you are going and how you will get there. So it is with eternity. Some believe that eternity does exist and others believe that we will have lived a complete lifetime only to be annihilated into nothing when we die.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." -John 6:47 (KJV)

THE BIBLE, A VAPOR, AND A BUS STOP-

Please let me assure you that according to the Bible eternity exists and everyone will enter it but only once. The Bible is the sure word of God, His inerrant authoritative voice that has resounded throughout the history of mankind. It is true and it has proven to be correct one-hundred percent of the time. So let's put this eternity thing into some perspective. Our life span here on earth can be on average 70-80 years, some less, some more but without doubt it is limited and we will eventually die. James 4:14 says that our life is but a vapor, a wisp of smoke. In that light you can also liken it to a bus stop; a very temporary time frame compared to eternity which lasts forever.

"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." -Gal 6:8 (KJV)

So let's get back to planning your vacation or trip. You would probably spend a bunch of time preparing for it, knowing as much as you can about where you'll visit, how long you'll stay, how much you'll spend, etc. Can I ask then why many people today even church-going, Bible-tote'n Christians seem uninterested in their trip to eternity and talk little about it. Is it because most are afraid to talk about death? You know it comes down to this - our deaths are a very present reality of this life. We will die and we will step into eternity so why don't we prepare for it? Why don't we know more about it and where it is we will go when we get there? Eternity consists of the two doors talked about above and the duration of your stay will be forever. No coming back, no redo's once you get there, no saying, "oops, I made the wrong choice". It's final and it's finished. You go through one of the two doors and that's it.

HEAVEN'S DOOR-

Now we're talking! Our eternal destination - the two doors - can only find us in one of two places - heaven or hell. That's it, no waiting room somewhere in the ethereal or no purgatory as some false religions preach. It's heaven or it's hell. So considering our discussion so far, where do you think you will go? What door will you walk through and let me remind you once you are in you can't come back out -Luke 16:26. If you are unsure then today is the day you should make up your mind. Remember, we have no guarantee of even our next heart beat or breath. Any of us could die at any time and then we instantly face eternity. That's it, it's the no-kidding, you-don't-hear-this-in-church truth! But if you want to go into God's rest - the heavenly door - then you must confess and believe on Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior as described in Romans 10:9-10. You must call on His name sincerely.

HELL'S DOOR-

The other door is ... if you want to go into hell, a place designed for the Devil and his fallen angels then all you have to do is ... NOTHING! Just do absolutely nothing and you will end up there. That's right! Just keep rejecting God, rejecting His Son's free gift of salvation and eternity with Him. Just keep living your life in an unholy and profane manner, doing your thing, living for your idols with your sights on the pleasures of this life. Just keep standing at the bus stop, the bus will finally come for you and take you away.

IT'S TIME TO GET SERIOUS-

Folks, this is serious. It's time to stop playing games with God and get right with Him. This world is quickly falling apart and end time prophecies are coming to pass in increasing numbers. These are the last days before Jesus Christ returns and accordingly God's wrath is coming. Read your Bible, read the prophecies and warnings about the sinful, unrepentant state of mankind against a holy and righteous God. Please, I urge you today to make a decision for Christ and then share this gift with your friends and family. Eternity is a long, long time, in fact, a time without an end.

"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." -2 Cor 5:1 (KJV)

Do You Read Your Bible? "Faith Comes By Hearing and Hearing By the Word of God"

Do You Sincerely Hunger For God's Word? But...

What if You Don't?

"I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart" -Psa 40:8 (KJV)

Bible literacy is at an all time low in this nation and I expect around the globe. Christians will watch a plethora of TV shows and movies and play video games until their hands cramp up. They will also bang on their cell phones texting endlessly even way into the night but do they take the time to read the Bible? The answer is - few if that many.

We have a nation of Biblically illiterate people, a world of Biblically illiterate people that do not want to spend time in reading and knowing about Almighty God. I see it everywhere but let me pause for a moment and ask you personally - "Do you read your Bible?" and if so, how often? No really ... can you faithfully say that you take the time to get away with God by reading His word without distractions? Do you read it daily, once or twice a week, maybe a couple of times a month or maybe, let's be honest here ... where-the-tire-hits-the-road ... you actually don't read it at all. Or you rationalize reading it until that last ember of light burns dimly from your day when your mind wanders and drifts endlessly with almost no concentration. In other words, you put God last in your life and other worldly things first ... ?!?

Serious questions for Christians today for you see many Christians don't set aside quality time to get to know our Creator God and understand Him. And this is a tragedy in itself. How can you say you'll enjoy spending eternity with the Lord in praise and worship if you rarely do this here on earth?

I fully believe we are experiencing in America and abroad a global "famine". A famine of the hearing and reading the word of God. Read about it, it's prophetic! The Lord declared it in the Book of Amos and now today in 2019, it's here.

"Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord GOD, "When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the LORD." -Amos 8:11 (NASB)

It's crystal clear that Americans and the rest of the world don't know God because they don't read or hear the absolute truth of His written word. If they did read His word, and live by it this world would be totally better and not getting worse as it is today. The Book of Proverbs says it plain - "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." -Prov 1:7 (KJV). We can't know God unless we learn about Him. How do we learn about things? By reading about them. How do we know who God is? We read about Him in His word - we continue in His word. Folks, the shocking part of this is that to be His disciple we must read His word and thereby know the truth and be set free from all false teachings, deceit and deceptions infecting the church and our culture today.

There is coming a time and I believe it is here where deception and deceit will cause many to fall away from faith in the Lord - His truth, His way, His purposes and His word. The Lord Himself warned us about this four times in Matt 24. People will be deceived because they are not aware of the truth. Whenever something is mentioned especially by the Lord multiple times it's extremely significant and important and we'd better pay attention.

There is another serious question facing all of us Christians. Do we 'despise' or shun His word if we refuse to read it? Are we ashamed or embarrassed or disappointed by reading our Bibles and representing Almighty God?

Sobering questions ... right?

Read the following verses and then carefully consider if we willfully reject reading His word then are we, in effect, really rejecting Him. And if we reject His word, are we really then a born-again Christian? IMO, there is absolutely no reason for any person with ready access to his or her Bible not to read it. If you are ignorant of His word then - Hos 4:5-6. I urge all who read this to get serious about this now!

"But they kept ridiculing God's messengers, despising His words, and scoffing at His prophets, until the LORD's wrath was so stirred up against His people that there was no remedy." -2 Chron 36:16 (KJV)

"...because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments..." -Amos 2:4 (KJV)

"To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it" -Jer 6:10 (KJV)

Jesus knew there would come a famine of hearing His truth - His words - upon the land in the final days before He returned. This has to be because many will fall away from the faith and would rather listen to soft, non-convicting, entertaining, toothless and truth-less Gospel messages - 2 Th 2:1-3.

This is a set-up for the arrival of the Antichrist.

So people would not know the truth and instead fall for his lies and falsehood which will [and have] overtake people's faith and cause them to fall away. It's happening now and coming like a snowball gaining speed and mass going downhill. The deceptive days ahead and your knowledge of God's truth will steer you towards God or unfortunately away from Him. This is your decision and your choice, so make it wisely.

Friends, where are you at today? Lots of people claim to be Christians - that's the easy part. The hard part is striving to stay on the narrow road that leads to eternal life - Matt 7:13-14. And that requires knowing the Lord and knowing His truths. That means dedicated time each and every day to read His word - the Bible. The challenge for me and you is what do you want to do with what I've shared here today? Wake up or fall back into spiritual slumber?

Pastors ... wake up and tell your flocks the importance of daily reading with understanding God's word and the importance of having a real personal relationship with Jesus! STOP showing scriptures on big screen TV's or screens! Encourage your flock to bring their Bibles to church and look up and follow along to what is being read/studied.

If you want to know about God, you've got to spend the time to read and follow the teaching in His word. You've got to do it - this is an absolute! No if's, and's or but's. Today, we in America have an abundance of Christian resources to pick from (at least for now); certainly the availability of Bibles are everywhere. Christian Book Stores, the Internet, movies, broadcasting of "real" Christian teachers on the TV, etc. So now it's your turn. Grab your Bible/s, open and start reading.

For new Christians or those wanting to know more, please start with the Gospel of John found in the New Testament. This is an excellent place to begin your journey with the Lord. But please, I urge you to start reading and knowing about the Lord and exactly who He is ... today. As the days progress and Christian persecution, calamities and disasters advance here in America and around the planet, if you are without knowledge of Him, you most likely will succumb to worldly ways and fall away from the faith.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." -Rom 10:17 (KJV)

Friends, the times are getting down-right tough and so we must be grounded, founded and anchored in the Lord's truth. We must bolster our faith and trust in Him by continuing in His word - the Bible. And then continue in prayer, in confessing your sin and then repentance. Then tell others.

God bless and amen.

Fear God and shun evil!

The Blind Man's Faith

What About Your Faith?

"I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" -Luke 18:8 (NASB)

Consider the blind man in Luke 18 (please take a moment to read the whole chapter) and then meditate on what Jesus was telling the people of that time and what He's foreseeing for us in our time. Will He find faith when He returns?

As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a blind man heard this and asked what was going on. The crowd told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. Well, this was enough to know in the man's heart that this Jesus was the Son of David and He could do something about his blindness. So he called out saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”. The crowd told him to be quiet yet he all the more he kept crying, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”. Now friends, that's persistence!

The blind man knew without seeing that this Jesus was someone totally special and could heal him. He had faith the faith we rarely see today.

We have a plethora of churches, nice pretty buildings, well-manicured lawns and gardens, fancy and comfortable pews and chairs, very nice interiors decorated with pictures, adorned with statutes, ornate podiums and the list goes on. But what about people's faith .... is that present and does it overshadow the elegant surroundings?

I've been in many churches, listening to many sermons from so-called pastors and priests, I've sang in choirs, actually led a choir for a short time, and played on several worship teams for decades but never, I repeat never, have I encountered any clergy or churchgoer with the faith demonstrated by this blind man! He knew who Jesus was without seeing Him or even talking to Him. His faith, his spiritual faith, told him who the Jesus, Son of David was and He cried out to Him for help.

Jesus in the midst of the crowd and all its commotion heard this man cry out and wanted to meet him. What about us, do we want to meet Jesus or for that matter do we ever call out to Him with persistence?

Then Jesus asked the blind man, what do you want me to do for you. Did you get that? Jesus the Son of the Living God, a part of the Trinity, God Himself, asked the man what he wanted. You know that Jesus knew the man's heart and knew what he wanted but He still asked him. IMO, Jesus wants us to plainly communicate our wants, needs, and desires to Him like He asked this blind man to do.  So, ... do we do this too? Do we humble ourselves, cast away our pride, and go one-on-one with the Son of the Living God and ask Him our needs .... with faith?

And what does Jesus say next - very important!!

"And Jesus said to him, “Regain your sight; your faith has made you well.”

The blind man's faith made him well. So what about our faith? Can our faith move the hand of God? Can our faith even call out for the Lord God to hear us as He did in the excitement and activity of the large crowd He was walking in? Or is our faith built upon pretty, fancy churches, well-dressed pastors and based upon empty and hollow preaching of God's word?

This blind knew in his heart that Jesus could heal him and thus regain his sight. Does our faith even go half that far...?

Remember, Jesus said in verse 8 of this chapter - would He find faith on the earth when He came back. I think that today we have powerless churches, gutless preachers, and Christians that know comfort and convenience and that's about it, that's their faith. But we do have an abundance of powerless warriors of the Cross, prayer-anemic saints all over this land. Will He faith in your heart, mind, body, soul and spirit when He returns or calls out to you? How about me? These are extremely pertinent questions we should ask ourselves daily without fail.

So where the tire hits the road ....... are you saved today? Will the Lord welcome you into His home (heaven) when you pass from this life? Think on these things!

Amen!

"Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:" -Heb 12:25-26 (KJV)

America's Godless Government. A Final Warning x2?

America - You Must Return to God ASAP!

"12 - This is what the Lord says: “Your injury is incurable— a terrible wound. 13- There is no one to help you or to bind up your injury. No medicine can heal you. 14- All your lovers—your allies—have left you and do not care about you anymore. I have wounded you cruelly, as though I were your enemy. For your sins are many, and your guilt is great." -Jer 30:12-14 (NLT)

[dropcap]Massive[/dropcap] destruction is coming to America unless nationally it repents before a Holy and Righteous Almighty God!

We are even now experiencing His chastising and preparation for what's to come unless we return to Him. Floods, heat, storms, tornadoes, weather extremes, drought, crop loses, animal loses, government insanity, hate, wickedness, crime, murders, worthless and sick churches, etc, etc. And just consider, winter is on the horizon...

America is sick and spiritually in trouble! American churches have become satiated social clubs filled with mainly soft, cuddly, sinful, unrepentant, and weak soldiers of the Cross. Deplete of spiritual armor and strength. We have become powerless to the schemes and fiery darts of Satan. Christians - real Christians (the Bride of Christ Christian's) rarely pray or seek God to please, honor and glorify Him. Many allow their Bibles to gather mounds of dust on them while their TV remotes and pretty smart phones show no signs of dust but rather with many signs of [over] use.

Hence, America is falling and falling hard! The turmoil and unrest we are entering now are due to this nation turning its collective back on God. Shunning Him and snubbing His laws and ways. So now the dark forces in the spiritual realm are manifesting overtly in the physical realm ... i.e. what we are seeing, hearing, and experiencing now.

In the Old Testament (OT), there were the 12 Minor Prophets who wrote what God Almighty wanted them to say to the nation's leaders and people during their times - ancient Israel and ancient Judah. The governments of the many years surrounding their ministries were composed of almost entirely evil and wicked kings and leaders. The prophets warned them, from God, what would happen to their nations and people if they continued moving away from God's laws, commands, statutes, and precepts. Most of the time the prophets were ignored, beaten, imprisoned, and tortured, some even put to death. The final result of those nations after years of warnings from God through the prophets of their time was judgment and destruction. And friends, it actually happened. Cities, towns were sacked by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, who destroyed, killed and carried off many people. All in all, they were disseminated for the result of their refusing to return to God time and time again.

The Book of Amos in the OT, is replete with warnings, from the prophets, to return to God and what He did to get their attention. God has been trying to get America's attention for many decades now and we have grown even farther distant from Him. It is this author's opinion that now we are directly facing His judgment and possible destruction. With this recent election and the fraud, cheating, lying and stealing that occurred, we are ripe for the hand of an angry God. And now with the ramping up of government-sanctioned and tax-payer supported abortions [again], our judgment will be more severe. Jonathan Cahn presents an excellent warning to us. He is a modern-day prophet/watchman (IMO) ordained by Almighty God to warn America for perhaps the last time. Please watch this and let it settle deep into your heart so you can make any life course corrections in your life. Then pray for this nation.

and now again ...

Jonathan Cahn’s Prophetic Message II to Joe Biden (The White House Apostasy)(source: here)

[dropcap]Please[/dropcap] share these videos and don't forget to heed his words of warning. Specifically directed to Joe Biden and our national leaders it is also directed at America and Americans as well. This is extremely significant for our time right now. The Lord has been shaking America for years now; so what is just around the corner in God's plan for our nation...? You had better be ready!!
